What are Automation Systems?
The electrical panels that control all the equipment in grain silo and storage systems are designed in various types, including manual and automatic. Equipment in manual control systems is electrically connected to each other, ensuring that they operate and stop in a specific sequence. This way, the continuity of grain flows between the equipment is achieved in the most effective manner. In automatic control systems, sequential operation between equipment is provided with the help of PLCs. Semi-automatic control only ensures the sequential operation of the equipment, while in fully automatic control systems, levels inside the silo are monitored, and in continuous level control systems, if there is a temperature increase in the full part of the silo, ventilation systems are activated. In
grain storage silo areas, there are automatic control systems that monitor all temperatures, silo levels, and the amount of grain inside the silo, as well as system malfunctions and maintenance times, and issue reports to warn users accordingly.
What are Elevator and Support Towers?
Elevator towers are used most effectively to support bucket elevators. These systems, optionally manufactured with staircases with landings and railings on both sides, are also located in grain silo areas and provide service. A platform is located at the height of the elevator top and the distributors' top heads. Support towers effectively take on the role of transferring the loads of the walkways on the silo to the ground.
