Why Do Feet Smell and How to Get Rid of It
Formation of Foot Odor
Foot odor is a really serious problem. Of course, no one wants to hesitate to take off their shoes in a crowded place because of foot odor. They might do anything to avoid entering the environment if necessary, rather than hearing a smell that will spread and bother everyone, including themselves, the moment they take off their shoes. Usually, foot odor is caused by fungal bacteria that occur as a result of sweating. It is possible to get rid of these fungal bacteria that cause odor and bother you and your surroundings.
Here are the ways to get rid of foot odor and the resulting discomforts:
Wash your feet at every opportunity. But don't just wash and go. After washing your feet, dry them thoroughly until you are sure they are completely dry. Bacteria can remain on feet that are not completely dried, and remember that bacteria multiply in moist environments. Every multiplying bacterium means odor. Before wearing your shoes, clean the inside with a damp cloth or, if available, with an antibacterial gel and dry them thoroughly each time. If you do this, you will protect your feet from the bacteria left in the shoe from your previous wear. Pay attention to sock choice. Don't dismiss socks. Nylon socks cause your feet to sweat more and also have no moisture-absorbing property. Therefore, prefer cotton socks. Cotton socks absorb sweat and prevent your feet or shoes from staying wet. This can reduce the chance of bacteria multiplying to zero. No matter how hot the weather is, do not wear shoes without socks. Wearing shoes without socks will provide a very comfortable ground for bacteria to multiply and spread. If you are wearing short shoes like ballet flats, instead of wearing them without socks for the sake of appearance, prefer short (ankle) socks, which are called ballet socks. Absolutely avoid wearing shoes without socks. If you think your feet are sweating more than normal, using powder can help reduce this problem. Wash your feet thoroughly before going to bed at night and dry them well. Once you are sure they are dry, powder your feet. After powdering, wear cotton socks and sleep like that. Continue to do this until you achieve the desired result. It will not cause any harm.
