What are the 61st Minute Stand Demonstrations?
What Do the Demonstrations Consist Of
At the 61st minute, fans release blue and bordo balloons and, according to Trabzonspor News, also perform a confetti show. These demonstrations, which started in the 2008-2009 season at the 61st minute, later became a tradition and have been used in all matches.
When and How Did the Demonstrations First Begin
In the second half of the 2008-2009 season, during the Trabzonspor-Galatasaray match, blue and bordo balloons released at the 61st minute suddenly filled the stadium, causing the match to be interrupted. Following this incident, it was referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee to prevent these demonstrations from happening. However, it was stated that these previously praised shows would continue.
